ok, i am going to be putting in my new battery and some other things this w/e and i wanted to make sure that i got this right. here is a crap drawing of what i will be doing:

my question is what size fuses should i use? notice the fuse holders are numbered 1,2,3,4. please state what size should go where.

i was thinking 300a for numbers 1 and 2, 150a for 3 and 4.

also, the wire from battery to battery is 1ga, as well as from the battery to the distros. from the distros to the 1501d is also 1ga and the wire for the 4ch is 4ga

thanks

You're planning to ground the second battery to car too right?
No, don't double ground the battery.

Do the big-3 under the hood also. Your wiring schematic looks fine.

Your numbers sound fine to me, as long as you mean 1/0 and not 1awg. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Why not?

Use the 2nd battery as a distro for power and ground.

Fuse both of those power wires between the amps and 2nd battery.

You can ground to the chassis and the 0/1 awg to the front batt negative if you want. If they have the same potential difference (deltaV) there shouldn't be a ground loop and the current will always flow through the path of least resistance.

never thought to use the 2nd battery for a distro.... good idea, but i already bought the distro blocks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

do you guys think 150a for the 4ch is too much? i dont think it'll pull near that much.

my big 3 is already done. and the wire is "Anchor Heavy Duty Welding Cable 1ga" so i guess it is 1awg? is that bad? this is the same wire i used for the big 3. it is free since my dad works at a tugboat company
