What Size enclosure for alpine Type X 10 inch

I have heard the alpine specs are not sufficient for the maximum output for this subwoofer..

Can anyone that has first hand experience with this sub shed some light on what size box works best in terms of loudness?

specifically 10 inch type x... Not 12 inch... (the amp is a PDX 1.1000 which is mono 1000 watts)

Box must be ported aswell...

1 ports or 2 ports how deep? and how wide?

You have enough power to go by alpine's recommendation and get loud. A bigger box is more for if you want lower frequency bass and if you have a lot less power than needed.

Thanks for the reply. Will take that into consideration for sure.

but id still like to hear someones first hand account of using this sub in a box larger than alpine specs... perhaps thats what I would prefer. I mostly listen to rap however I listen to everything (rock jazz lounge edm etc).. and I enjoy ported mostly.
