Im running two type r 12's off of a Orion 1200d.

What size power cable should i use?

also what is the biggest that will work with the amp?

The Orion takes 4g. You could use that straight to the amp or you could get 1/0 --->Distro

I was also wondering about this, could i use my 4 guage wire i have running from my battery then send a 4 gauge to an orion 1200d and an 8 gauge to my 70w x 4 amp? Or am i going to have to go 1/0 to the distro block?

Lol, ****, where do all you run ur cables? Because i know where i got mine run right now it will not fit 1/0. I run it from the battery up the side of under the hood, and bring it down where the hood meets the drivers door, then there is a seal there that i sent the wire through, 1/0 is def not gonna fit through there, where are some other places i could send it through?

I ran my 1/0 below my car, seriously.

under the car works too. Use lots of zipties and cover it with a protective tube if you want as well.

I wasn't *****ing and moaning, i was just wondering where u guys put ur cables. Ohh, and johnecon when u say protective tubing, do u mean like rubber insulation or something? Or will that black plastic ribbed tubing work also?

either one is fine, you don't really need it.. but its nice to have a little more protection, ya know?

Heater hose is available at automotive stores, flex conduit is available at Home Depot/Lowes...
