what size box for type R

i've read nothing but great things about type R's so i decided to pick one up considering the small price tag.

Im going to run it off about 1000 watts.

Any recomendations for cubic feet and tuning freq? I want to get the most bang for my buck... Im going to be playing this on music only but i want it to get as loud as possible.

well i asked the same question for a pair of 12 Rs and i got any where from 2.0-2.5 each so i any where in there will probably be good.

I built 3 type "arruuuhgs" in a chevy single cab blow threw, went sealed with only 3.5^Ft and it SLAMMEDDD.

I have 2 in about 4-4.4 Cubic ft. Box tuned at 32hz and it slumps.. Until one gave out with about 750watts each. So you might wanna rethink giving it 1000watts.

I ordered a pair of the 4 ohms...when I get um I'm wiring um to 2 ohms at 1100watts.

FisherCustoms told me the right size ported box would be around 4-4.5 cubic feet for two of them.

have 2 on the boat. seperate boxes. each is 2.5@32hz. Have appx. 800 going to each one. will sometimes push them at full throttle for 2-3 hours at a time.

Everything is just fine.

1.75 tune 32hz works like a champ.

IMO type R is ok.. not a fast beater if u listen to Hiphop RB with long bbass is fine but not for house or trance or higher end stuff. However price tag is nobody can beat for the performance.

word..thanks for the help. Alright ill be real easy on it if i give it 1000rms. But sounds like 1.75-2.5 cubic feet at 32-34hz will work...gracias
