what size box for kicker L7??

my friend has a kicker 12" L7...he wants a new box to hit lows and he NEEDS new amp...what size box should he get and port area??...also, i said to grab an ap1500 (950w @ 2) or ap1800 (1100w @ 2)...which would get him the most out of his L7 in what size box??

Kicker recommends 1.75-3.25, if he wants to hit the lows Id suggest the larger side of their recommendations.

Yea just 3.5-3.75 net maybe 4 if he ends up with not to much power to put on it

I ran my 2 12" CVXs (same motor structure as the L7) in 4.5 cubes net tuned to 30 Hz. I had them on 1035 RMS. They played loud and low in that box.

yeah me too

but in 3 -3.5 CF ( after all displacements ) tuned at 34-35HZ with 800-1000 rms and roughly 14 Sq. inches of port per cube should do fine.

they do not like heat or low tuning...

pretty much a garbage sound but they do get very loud if done right...

depending on the model year it is 2 or 2.5" coils..
