What size box for CDT SQ1000

CDT recommends a box size of 0.5 -1.0 for this sub. I dont know anything about box size, is it better to go low or high within this range and why? I partly chose this sub because I want to keep all my cargo space, but I have a Chevy Tahoe which is a large vehicle and I dont want to lose all the bass. I like the sub to fit in well musically and be tight and low, not boomy. Thanks for any help

I'd go for the 1 cube setup. I have my current sub in a 1 cube (recommends .5 to 1.5) and it doesnt have as much low end. I want to put it in a 1.5 cube to gain more lowend.

so 1 cube for you is my recommendation

Thanks man, so a bigger box gives more lowend it seems? Would I lose anything (besides a little space) by using the 1 cube over a smaller encloseure? Or is bigger pretty much better anyway?
