i've been going through some of my old stereo stuff that i had stored away. i found a brand new original jl 12w0 and an almost new bazooka rsw1224dvc 12" sub. I would like to build an enclosure for both of them to mess around with them. i'm thinking ported. but not sure what size would work good. can anyone help with the sizes?

Try the sealed then. If you feel you're lacking low end extension you might try to build a ported box to give you a little more output down low.
