Where Am I???
Im working on a design for a ported sub box which will hold 2 15" kicker L7 subs. However, I'm not too sure on what size to make each chamber. Kicker recommends 3-6 ft^3 per sub but thats kind of a broad range to go off of.

Anyone know how many ft^3 I should go with?

Ya, its definitly my daily. And I'm sorta limited to space in the cab of my truck, but according to the measurements I took, 10 cu. ft. is about as big as I can go, unless I make the box taller which would block off some of my rear window.

BTW, where would be the best spot to cut out ports, condsidering I've got such a tight fit?

good. go with 4.5 cubes net for each and i bet youll end up with about 10 total after basket and port displacement. if you cant slot port because of space/shape issues.. im guessing PVC ports would do best facing up towardas the roof cause you want a few inches in front to not block them, and putting them close to your seats would probably do just that.

so go 4.5 cubes, and cut holes for as big of and as many PVC holes as you can. the larger the diameter and bigger number of ports (within reason) is best. just remember that as surface area of ports add up, so does length of ports, losing space in your box. but do as many as parcitcal to eliminate port noise
