Silver L7 problems...

Me and a buddy hooked up the L7 that I bought from electrodynamics. He had it running for about 3 or 4 weeks and the spider broke. It's in a 1.9 cuft SEALED box, running off of a 300 watt mono infinity amp. I glued the spider back and about 15 mins. later it broke again in a different spot. Just wondering what I can do with the sub as far as recone or gluing it again also what would cause this problem? I can't figure it out because it was only a sealed box and with 300 rms on it....

Just let me know what you all think about this situation and more importantly what can I do with it...

that is odd, was the woofer used? Spiders should not tear on a sealed box with 300 watts...

Exactly how I feel...

I purchased the sub from electrodynamics, nick, but it was brand new from him..

Still had the stickers and all of the wrapping...I mean i could excuse it ripping one time but it ripped TWO...

What can I do with the sub?...I need it reconed but need to find out where and how much that will be ...

Just tell him you want new Mag and you will call it cool. lol. It might just be a dud out of the thousands of subs they make, it has too happen sometime. Maybe Electro will refund part of your money, maybe not though. If not ubid.com sells the new style 12l7 refurbished direct from kicker(they are a kicker dealer) for right around $130. You can pick up the old gray ones for about $110.
