i have a 2006 liberty with a stock 136a alt. my system is a cadence A7 that does 1200w x 1 @ 1ohm and a 4 channel that does 200 x 4 at 4ohm...these are all rms ratings. from what i have found the combined 2000w at 14.4 v will require an additional ~140a of power (~160a @ 12v). so is it true that i need to find a 276a alt minimum? that seems a bit high for a 2000w system. i guess a nother Q would be how much of the original 136a am i actually using? i am think a 240a will work...but i'm looking for any thoughts here....

lmao...i had a 180a with the same set up in my cavalier and it was barely enough....dual batteriers and big 3 done in 2g.
