What should I put in my mustang?

Hey everyone, I have a 2002 Mustang and everything is stock. Im interested in putting a new sound system in it. I want something with good quality sound but not too expensive (about 200-300 dollars). Any help would be great thanks.

You won't be able to really do 2 12's ported in a perfect box. just not enough room. So one 12 is good.

dont Fi Qs work in small ported boxes?

a couple 12s should fit.

also, old school kickers work in small ported(1.25ported for 12s)

I've heard a single 12" Type R get loud and sound decent in an 05 Mustang in 2.7cuft@34hz, on 1200watts

Yeah, I had 2 of em and ran 1600 watts to both, nearly cooked on though and I was not real hard on them...LOUD for what they are though for sure!

i'd do a single DD 2512 ported on about 1200 rms for a daily beater

Try a single 12", sub back port to passenger side.

Did a 2512 on an M80 awhile back and the owner couldn't have been happier.

Doesn't take alot to get good sound in that trunk.

I'm really new to the whole car audio stuff. I don't really know anything. How much would this stuff run? I just know im not really satisfied with my current system and need something with a little more quality and a little louder. So what are the best places to look for this kind of stuff and what are some good brands and should i try to install these myself or get some help?

$200-$300 is your budget for a system? Try Wal-Mart or a Swap Meet. You will not get anything good for that price.

I just looked at the video gangsta posted and I am not looking for anything close to that. I just want a decent quality sound with a little more volume. I don't want my car to shake and rattle due to the system. I am looking for something similar to what the new eclipse's offer with their rockford fosgate system.

i didnt watch the vid but stick with a couple nice 8's

or lower end 10 or 12's
