What should I get with this setup

I have a 88 Lincoln Town Car (low n slow). Ill also be using sound deadener, so if yall have any suggestions on that, like, are they all basically the same, or which is better with what

I get to have: 5.25's, 6.5's, 6x9's

I've been reading into car audio a lot here lately, and the more i read the more complex it gets and the less i know

All i could tell you about right now, is speakers, i don't know anything about amps, wiring, subs, or batteries (extra's)

Any help would be appreciated (I'm sure you've had this topic 9000 times) or any web site thats like car-audio for beginners.

The reason im asking, is actually because of that

Under $500 is ideal, but i could go to as much as $700

Im looking for quality, and hopefully a little bump

for 500-700, you could get a decent little setup. check out http://www.sonicelectronix.com, http://www.onlinecarstereo.com, http://www.woofersetc.com, and im sure other people will chip in some sites. they all have decent prices, as well as the classifieds section here on the forum.

As for what to get, with 500-700, i would probably pick up a headunit, power the speakers off the headunit (so you dont have to get an amplifier for them, although this is ideal), and a nice little subwoofer and amplifier for the sub. That should all fit into your $700 budget if you shop smart.

oh, as for installing it, do some research on here. I was afraid to install all my stuff when i bought everything, but i gave it a whirl along with the help of this forum, and it was actually quite easy.

Installing it should be fine, I'm not really afraid to tear apart my car
