i jus bought some 18 sound 6.5" midbass speakers and a pair of beyma bullet tweeters.

the tweeters are 4ohm

the midbass speakers are 8 ohm

can i run a speaker and tweeter to a channel on my rockford punch 450.4

if so what ohm load will that produce 4ohm , 2ohm?

also can i run the speakers and tweeters together or should i buy a passive crossover to have it like components.

HELP PLZ.......

18sound takes lots of power...so i guess thats the reason why he may want to bridge.....if u bridging them bones justice....run some condensers on the bullets so that the amp wont read it as a load.....

To do it right, you need to have a passive crossover splitting the signals to the tweeter and mid. If not you'll fry your tweeter.

Oh, and for those saying an 8 ohm speaker with a 4 ohm speaker ran in parallel is 6 ohms... ummmmm, no....

It's 2.67 ohms.

x2

you need a passive cross over.

but you can run each set on 2 chanell of your amp.

or you can use your mid's on bridge mode.

and use the tweeters on 2 chanel seperatly.
