what kinda amp???

i have three 12 inch diamond audio m5's. it is a single 4 ohm voice coil speaker. i dont wanna get too crazy with money (the wife will kill me) but i want a solid amp that i wont have to worry about replacing. any suggestions?

The tricky thing is... in order to run all 3 of them you would need an amp that puts out power for them at either .66 or 2.66 ohms.

What's the RMS rating of each sub?

With that odd ohm number, I would get a PG amp, many of them do the rated power at 1-4 ohms. They can be kinda pricey though, depending on the power you need.

That does not sound right.. 1.34 watts would not even move a subwoofer. Look for a number in the hundreds.

Okay, so 1200w RMS is what you can throw at these guys. Now what kind of money are we talkin here? If you have the money for it,then get a PG Tantrum 1200.1

what is your budget, exactly? It isnt going to be easy finding a cheap amp to power 3 of them.

actually theyll take a bit more than 400w a peice,but thats a good starting point

something like a MTX 1501D which would do around 1500w@2ohm,or the Tantrum which is discountinued and very hard to find - search out amps that make full power at 2ohm,

1500+watts - some early RFs too
