i got 2 10'' type e's in seperate sealed .7 boxes behind the seat of a single cab truck and today i was playing t.i "" what you know '' .. and i was sittin there listening to it and everything is sounding nice and this one note hits thats really deep .. and the window like starts flexing and the mirrors start shaking . i need to know if i need some sq subs , sql or spl subs to achieve more of this .. sorry im a noob

More shaking/flexing?

SPL would do that, but SQL would give you the 'good' sound and the output.

But I dont know what you can do with ~2 cubes gross to work with.

yeah i mean i cant do much right now .. i just purchased a 1.25 cuft sealed box for a 12 so im going to get a 12 for right now .. btw i got a alpine mrd 605 that puts out 600watts @ 2 ohm .. later on i want to get another 12 and upgrade the amp .. what a good 12 for my box and power options ?

I have a 12' alpine tye E in a vented box in a hatchback. This puppy sounds good and loud. If i wanted to do more what your are talking about, I could just turn up the gains some ( have left room to do that) or turn up the volume on the sub control from by head unit. Try tweeking what you have before you jump ship and get somthing else. You could really be suprised what you can do. Those type E's can pound if you have the power.

if you want that kind of bass in that small of an enclosure, i would say go with a new box. single 10" ported with hella power.

I'd keep what you have- that sounds like good output and single cabs are a beeothch to get good sounds in..

But if you want more, a single ten ported may give you more oomph...

yeah , alot of people diss type e's talking about how shitty they are but i mean this is only my second system and with this limited amount of space i think they sound good and have some ok output .. but i kinda want to order 2 12'' arsenals and hook 1 up for now then get a new amp and hook the other up

I was quite impressed with my Type-E 10s (old style) when I put them in a 2.75 ft^3 box tuned to 32 hz. They pounded for what they were. Then I upgraded to 2 Type-R 10s in the same box on 1200 watts and WOW what a difference. I am in the process of building a bigger box for them.
