prob dont need 400 amps i have bout 4k i have two RFP 1500bd and a 600.4 for the highs..i have a 220 alt and a extra bat in the back

230-250A alt but as always, bigger is definitely better. More headroom means your less overall strain on your electrical which means longer life. I wouldn't run with less than 3 decent batts for that much power, 4 would be better.

How would a 220amp work from mechman? It would be one a AQ3500D.1 so 4300 at 1ohm.

For a true 4300W would neeed ~275-300A alt and 2-3 reserve batteries. That is assuming you are wanting to be able to play without killing your voltage.
