Agreed. College isn't for everyone, but if you're considering it then at least try it for a semester/quarter/trimester/whatever. I was pretty much the opposite, came from high school with straight A's and now in the whole 2.5 years I've been in college I've gotten 1 A, ever. People who got worse grades then me in high school are doing better than me now. I'd like to say my slipping grades were due to partying but they aren't sadly enough. So, you can do it if you really want to and are serious about it. Also, you need to do more than just study if you want to get anywhere. You need to make business relations, do volunteer work, intern, anything to build up your resume. Good luck, whatever you choose to do.
Gotta agree with this man - Got decent grades in HS mostely A honor roll etc. Went to College and Had a Hard Time Just gettin B's. I was in pre-architecture at North Dakota State University...needed a 3.65 to get in. Those who got in are literally slaves to their major, in studio all the time workin shit etc... If anything college kinda made me lazy cus I currently dont have a job. Im in Landscape Architecture and just wanna get a degree. I feel everyone in the College Situation but C's get Degrees. I know you should feel this way unless you all out their studying each night?

WOuld a Bachelors Degree in engineering really be that hard to earn?
It will be real tough. Stick to it if its what you really want to do, if not think about what really interests you.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Your SAT and ACT and GPA scores dont mean anything once you get accepted in college. Its all about will power and your drive to succeed. No one is going to wake you up for your 8:30 class, or prevent you from going out and geting blackout drunk the night before a test.

Im at UF also, working on my Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering degree. Its hard as shit, and it really pisses me off to see all these business majors who dont have to do shit and dont even have to go to class because all their classes are offered online.

College is more than just getting an education. It makes you mature and grow up and survive in this world by yourself. Oh and you also get really drunk and get a lot of *** //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i dont know why anyone would think calc is fun, atleast it's better than DiffyQs though

Yeah man I would try college out. Some one mentioned it isnt for everyone and I do agree, but If I was younger and had money and the time I would try it. I feel like it was a major mistake to not go and at least try. Instead I joined the work force. I started my own landscape company and took off really well. Ended up I couldnt work and run the company at the same time so my dad steped in and took the bussiness aspect of it. Here I am today working 2 jobs, security and part time with the lawn care bussiness. I make decent money and own 2 cars and my own house, but it is hard. I basically live from month to month. So get an education and do yourself proud. Good luck mang!

I've been out of high school for four years now and just decided recently what I think will be the right career for me. I've been back and forth from university to community college since I graduated. I don't feell bad about it though because at least now I'm finally confident in my career choice and looking forward to getting started. All the classes I've taken so far don't mean s*** because I'm going into Radiology and theres only like six preques. The program is only two years for an Associate and I should be able to get a job making anywhere from 45 up to 90 depending on a few things.
