hey i'm buying some new subs, not sure on what brand yet

what kind of box do you recommend for the trunk of my car a sealed, ported, or a bandpass?

any advice is good

Sealed for more sound quality, ported for a mix of sq and spl(can give good amounts of both) and bandpass for loudness by throwing sq out the window. I'd recommend ported but it would help to know the size limits you have, your budget, and what size and sub you are looking into.

if tuned low its better for sq also....

i say bandpass ...u have a sedan u can port it thru the armrest or thru the reardeck....u will have less trunk rattle than a sealed or ported box...

mine is ported and tuned at 32hz and it pounds and sounds great. (atlas12 2.95ft^3@32hz)
