What kind of battery do I use?

If I am going to uprgade my electrical system and add a extra battery in the back what kind of battery do I use? Someone said a gel battery never heard of anything as such?

You need to search.

You can use any dry cell battery (sealed) that won't emit fumes like a regular wet cell car battery. A gel cell will work.

Kinetik's are probably the most popular choice, as well as deka, stinger, etc.

Stinger, Kinetik, Optima Yellow Top, PowerMaster, Deka Intimadator, certain C&D Technologies batteries, and possibly Batcap (Xstatic). Those are the only ones I'd ever consider using for car audio/accessory purposes!

KINETIK all the way. I have used them since 2007 and had no problems at all. And I just won Bass Race World Finals with them in my suv.
