What kind of amp to get .. Need help

Im pretty sure they will be a bit more the marginal, its not always about how loud something is if you get a screaming tweeter blowing your ear drums out in a bad way. Factory speakers for that car are borderline horrible. This with the proper HU will make a world of diffrence.
I would never amp my speakers with a budget amp. They need the best signal you can get. And with his budget of $400, your talking about some cheap(hifonics) 5.25 and a budget amp. So if he has a good HU, its the best signal he can get right now!
those mbquarts i told him are 90 shipped right now. he can find another decent set of 6x9s on here for that 150 shipped for those focal ones. and then all he has to find is a decent amp thats around the 150 range. that can easily be done

your right, if buying used is a option. I try not but thats just me. I like that new car smell. I still think he doest need a 4 channel, he isnt running a bad as solo X

I only have 45 going to my 125RMS hertz and they sound great. They blend perfect with my sub stage and we are going to be running about the same set up. Mines even in a hatch, and they keep up

Me too, I love how brand new audio equipment makes my car smell so brand new.

I just think that every penny saved is a penny that can go to the most important part of this build... SOUND DEADNER.. This car will turn into a rattle trap real fast and it wont matter how many watts he is pushing to the front stage cause all you will hear is the trunk, doors and hood shaking to pieces.. And that is fact.. I see it everyday

im just saying its better to amp them to get the most out of them. am i wrong for suggesting that? what if he decides to upgrade in the future? then he has to go through and buy more comps/coax and then buy an amp. if he has one on tap then he can easily upgrade his speakers to the power he has readily available. just sayin.
