What kind of amp to get .. Need help

All for are 5x7/ 6X8

thats good. they make adapters for it to run from a 5x7 to a 6.5" you'll get much crisper highs from the 6.5 than you will with the 6x9s

yes if you amp them then they generally will sound better.

sorry 35 RMS,, Just about every decent HU puts out atleast 18.. 15 more whats isnt going to make a big enough upgrade to the sound

I don't have to have won nationals to know that those speakers are going to only be marginally louder than his stock speakers.

Instead, suggest some speakers that can handle being amped in the future so when he does want to amp his doors he doesn't have to buy and install a whole new set of speakers.

this, and I would look for speakers with at least like 60-100rms so you can amp them in the future

Im pretty sure they will be a bit more the marginal, its not always about how loud something is if you get a screaming tweeter blowing your ear drums out in a bad way. Factory speakers for that car are borderline horrible. This with the proper HU will make a world of diffrence.

I would never amp my speakers with a budget amp. They need the best signal you can get. And with his budget of $400, your talking about some cheap(hifonics) 5.25 and a budget amp. So if he has a good HU, its the best signal he can get right now!
