...and your point is? Once you get past the point of inaudibility any better specs is just an ego boost to convince yourself that you didn't just waste the $3k difference in price that you can't hear.

I ship them the metal to make those amps with.They shipped some metal back to us that came from the mill bad and in the box was a few amp hulls.The mac's not the profiles

The profile will probably last just as long, and sound pretty much the same as the mcintosh if you put in on some mid grade door componants in stock locations. So who cares?

unless they`re going to sell us the amps at profile prices it`s a waste of time. there`s no reason to spend that kind of money on a daily setup. i wouldn`t even spend it on a SQ car.

But I doubt many would be able to hear the difference.

I would like to think that the QA with Macs is going to be better than profile. Also the variation from the reference should be better.

I mean if your running resistors that have a +/- .05 variance that can be a pretty big change from the original design. Also, I'm guessing Mcintosh makes a better profit on the audio equipment which gives them a better budget for R&D so you get better technology in the equipment.
