Hey all,

I just purchased a 12" Kicker L5 (600W RMS @ 4 ohms; 1200W Peak). Now I need to find a decent amp to push it. The best one that I could find was a Kenwood KAC-9103D (500 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms; 900 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms). I can get one for around $140.

My question is, is this amp a good choice for the sub, and if not, what would you recommend? I'm trying to keep it AROUND $150-$175.

Thanks!

The speaker is a dual 2 ohm prewired to 4 ohms in the box already. So the amp would be running at 4 ohms giving the speaker 500 watts rms. So yes the amp would work with the sub.
