what is bad about car audio

the time

the money

pos crankheads running around foking all your shit up, taking your shit and destroying what they dont take //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

The fact that it attracts so many young males and lower-class who have no problem breaking into your vehicle and robbing you as they see fit. Sometimes I hate the crowd that this hobby brings in. Home audio is so much more elegant.

I also hate that the unresponsible a-holes that disturb the peace on a regular basis are causing cities to pass noise ordinance laws that are so strict and rediculous that they affect everyone else. (i.e. getting a ticket because the "bass" of your stock 5x7 coaxias is too loud)

true, yet they complain about noise yet its legal for 89 yr olds that have really bad reflexes to drive 15-20 miles an hour under speed limits.... about 1 out of every four bad accidents i read about contains 1 person over the age of 69 AT least

The money it costs if you take this as a hobby like I have. I mean I am no where near as bad as I used to be or some people, but I probably could have most of my house paid off since I started buying audio. Is a nice house too.

I also have busted out a few windows in my competition cars, brock my back lock to the trunk, jarred the windows off line and not to mention my hearing is FuXord!

the fact that to someone who's not into car audio themselves, there's no distinction between the people who buy equipment to be loud, and those who actually know what they're doing and are honestly doing it for personal enjoyment

that and theft. lots and lots of theft.

and to add insult to injury, you know your shit just got jacked to be sold for 1/10000th of what you worked hard to pay for it.......

The fact that it destroy's your car slowly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

my current setup now does some nasty stuff to my ride...my door panels don't stay on the doors, they'll pop off if i bump it. my sunroof is all sorts of screwed up. random panels in the car come off.....etc...

but I love bass so what can i say //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i don't understand why people get mad at loud music. My neighbor called the police once, in the middle of the afternoon while i was testing out my new sub, i didn't even play it for more than 5 minutes. but when the dude's on the Harley's race up and down my street at 3 in the morning, which to me is way more obnoxious and disturbing, everything is fine and dandy.

i say if they can ban loud music, they have to ban loud motorcycles.

just my .02

Agreed. I dislike having to watch where I park and everything else that goes along with not attracting unwanted attention.

I'm also not a huge fan of losing my entire trunk (and as a result, packing that extra weight around daily) to an enclosure. What has to be done, has to be done ... but I don't have the time/patience/money to be fiberglassing tuck-away enclosures all of the time.

How cheaply made vehicles are and how easy it is to break something that doesn't come off so easily when you're getting tired of screwing around with it and decide to just pull.

hehe, i lost my review in my mustang one day with my two 13W7s in the cobra. it landed in the lap of a chick whos family owns one of the top car audio shops around here, big time JL dealer. just thought that was funny. it scared the shit out of her.
I honestly don't see why carmakers don't mount the rearview mirror directly to the headliner. They can stuff a 4.6 Liter Supercharged V8 in there, but they can't manage to mount a rearview mirror correctly. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

Probably so it doesnt look stupid and is still functional //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

If it was on the headliner you couldnt see out the back window unless it hung down from the headliner which would look rediculiously stupid IMO. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
