What is a light weight sub that can handle a good chunk of power?

noob mod ...u dont agree because u like to split hairs
I don't agree because it is not exactly the best option for this situation. I highly suggest you stop posting like we are in the dome though.

Nice sub for sure, but not the end all sub what so ever.

Lvl 4 with Xl parts is like a dollar menu burger on a Big Mac size bun.

Fi Btl N2......How much of a difference could 30 lbs make? If you are that worried about weight just make it easily removable. What electrical upgrades are you planning to run 2500 watts as that will hurt performance too.
Got a 270 amp mm at home for it and I have some 1/0 ox free wire as well. Gonna be getting a d3100 from xs come tax return.

45lbs is a good chunk of weight to work with. So there are far more options then most will think. Using birch will help with overall weight as well. Can go sealed or perhaps a precision port setup. Depends more on the budget.

The Icon is not a bad choice for something like this though and would perform rather well.

Boston Acoustics SPG555 2 1000W 13" Single 2 Ohm Oval SPG Series Car Subwoofer 690283382889 | eBay

2 of these on 2500rms would be **** 3.5 inch coil with neo magnets

because of the neo magnet it only weighs 26 pounds lol

Boston Acoustics SPG555-2 Oval 2-ohm component subwoofer at Crutchfield.com

I have 2 of them in my pontiac in a sealed 2 cubic birch box with 2 spg-555 passive radiators i bought directly from boston acoustics. (call the parts department)

for all under 600 bucks amazing sounding subs with super light weight in a small box tuned to 30hz with the passive radiators. the small 2 cube box saves a ton of weight for the 2 subs

What the air space rq for that? The biggest box I can fit in mine now is like 2.8 external and thats even pushing it. The cobra im buying is an 04 so its the exact same trunk space lol

All of that and you are against a 75lb sub? Seems a little silly to me to draw the line there.
Im putting down 511 hp to the wheels lol I dont want to add a ton of weight and slow it down at all cuz im planning to add more in the future

Two of these boys on 1.8-2k would be great. TC Sounds Epic 10" DVC Subwoofer 293-656 Put them in a Birch box with a 6inch areo port.

That's bad *** but I just can't see why you would add a heavy *** battery, 0 gauge, an HO alt and then skimp over 30 extra lbs on the sub.
