What impedance would this create?

I have two DVC 4 ohm drivers wired to 2 ohms a piece, independently wired, and they're connected to a mono amp, with two positive, and two negative inputs.

The amp went into protection, and then shut off completely, I think the fuse blew.

What impedance am I creating?

I want to get a 2 ohm, but I'm thinking that I may be creating like a 1 ohm load or something. How can I get a 2 ohm load?

If you have a pair of Dual 4 Ohm drivers wired in parallel (which creates a 2 Ohm load for each driver independently) and then connected those two drivers to the same mono sub amp then you've dropped a 1 Ohm load onto it and if it is continually going into protection I would say that is indicative of the amp not being a 1 Ohm stable unit.

You cannot get a 1 Ohm load with a pair of Dual 4 Ohm drivers.

See this diagram for the possibilities with a pair of Dual 4 Ohm subs

Dont tell me it is a Directed refurb.

You've got it wired at 1 ohm, those two outputs are wired in parallel with each other inside the amp.
