Not better than mine.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifActive is overrated.
I bet I can get a passive setup to sound just as good as some off yall goofballs active setups.
Sorry man, you got it backwards. The Rux-c701 is $199 on crutchfield. The PXA-C701 typically goes for $350-$450 used and almost impossible to find new. With the audio controls on the Alpine PXA-H701 and the RUX-C701 Combo, you can run 4 way active. You'd still have to get a seperate CD player along with that as that's just a processor. It is pretty nice though; it's got a 31 band (L/R) graphic EQ, 7 band parametric EQ with 5 bands for the mids/highs and 2 dedicated to the subs, TA and a mic for auto TA, and it adds all the Alpine sound processors like MediaXpander. It's a little old so it may be hard to find the combo now. I take that back as Crutchfield has the PXA-H701 in stock for $199, but the RUX-C701 may be hard to find.
this is why im going to pay somebody to tune my ish once i go active lol. i have the ability to install somewhat decent but when it comes to tuning i know i flat out **** at that lol:crazy:Active is overrated.

I like how it's an SQ head unit, yet it shows an mp3 CD in it. Since when did mp3's give great SQ? That's the DEX-P99RS. Simply orgasmic. I don't know why companies think America doesn't want things like this. Sure it's ridiculously priced, but we all know some of us would buy it.* powerful D/A converters,* 4-way DSP,
* a separate adjustment for crossover network,
* time alignment for left and right channels and
* complete frequency-band control that allows you to refine audio with new levels of precision.

Yes, thanks. I definitely had that mixed up.Sorry man, you got it backwards. The Rux-c701 is $199 on crutchfield. The PXA-C701 typically goes for $350-$450 used and almost impossible to find new.
I gave a link on pg2. This seems to be the single unit, do-all HU that Ive been waiting for. And I honestly dont care what it costs, or if I have to buy it from Europe..I like how it's an SQ head unit, yet it shows an mp3 CD in it. Since when did mp3's give great SQ?
Also, that looks real similar to the 880PRS. Obviously it's different, yet it's still similar.
Good luck buying it from Europe. You might be making a trip there. I was just on google.co.uk and it's nowhere to be found for sale. Pioneer's UK website doesn't even give a price, just places where you can buy it and none of which are online dealers.I gave a link on pg2. It just came out, give it some time. Im also still waiting on a response from Pioneer regarding this unit being available in the US.Good luck buying it from Europe. You might be making a trip there. That would be sweet if they brought it here. I'd probably be selling my 800 at that point, pending how ridiculous the price of the P99RS would be. I'm guessing it will be pushing $2000 maybe more.It just came out, give it some time. Im also still waiting on a response from Pioneer regarding this unit being available in the US.
