what high end sub do you guys think?

i would run that just for sq. if it played loud enough then i could use it as bass but after putting it in i would proly just end up tuning it for midbass so i would proly just end up haveing the sub in the back running all the time. along with the 8

You never want to mix and match subs. A dedicated subwoofer is just that, they are not designed to play midbass frequencies, just because there cone is only 8 inches doesn't change much. Get an 8" midbass an you will be good to go, something like the Extremis 8, or a XXX 6.5

any one have any idea on what if any can fit in the center counsel i know there is a 6 inch bose in there now. not sure on what kind of box or what the thing is mounted to?

ok what if i ran the mag in the back juiced by the pdx and then like a 8 in a sealed box in the center counsel if i cant fit it then i could run the amp turn on wire on a switch then switch them on or off depending on what im looking for at the time would this be worht the cost of another sub and amp?

Gamefish...I would dump the center console sub/midbass idea and the Focal idea as well. If you want some serious midbass w/ a serious sub stage...look at my signature. The 12inch MAag is $450, i think thats too much, ill stick with the 12inch IDMAX and get better SQ too.

Correct me if im wrong but the IDMAX is more for SQ, and the MAG is more for SPL right??

In what way? SQ, SPL, SQL? lower distortion? over all why does it " edges out the IDMAX " as you say it?

I would gladly pay $450 for a SI Mag. When they first started going through showrides i was pretty pissed because of the new price. But then i found 1 in the classifieds and bought it played with it for a while then luckily found another and now im running both. After listening to them for a bit i love them more everytime i listen to them. They are well worth the money and i haven't heard anything bad about Ben either. I only have them off of around 400 watts each right now and it is such an efficient driver. It gets plenty loud for all practical purposes but i plan on stepping it up to somewhere around 900 sometime in the fall. The SQ is amazing, clear and crisp all the time. Hope this helped.

Edit- I have not heard the IDMAX so i cannot compare.

Maxima, no the SI is a SQL driver, but will more than likely edge out IDMAX in output and clarity. You say it cost too much, but yet a JL W7 from an authorized dealer is what $799 ( not sure) . Even though we are the SI dealer, and opinion may seem bias, the SI MAG is still under priced. The woofer is VERY reliable, loud, clean, can take your daily abuse, and give nice burp numbers. We have not had any troubles with one, ( unless Fed ex kicks it around) and are very glad we went the SI route. Its hard to beat the MAG.

I only have "780w" on my mag15, and thats more than enough for me.

Owned an idmax12 in the recommended enclosure specs and currently own a mag15 in recommended enclosure also, but that's not really a fair comparison. SQ was pretty neck n neck to me though, albeit in ported boxes.

Well I am also don't know much about this Mag sub everyone is referring too. I my self love my flatline. I have been through a long list high end subs and have stuck with the Flatline. My only recomendation to him is what ever you go with just dont let it be the w7!!!!!
