What have ya'll done to car stereos?

Just kidding with the title. Stereos have only gotten bigger and better since I last worked with them. While the names of the players have changed, the game is still the same. Many years back, '91-'93, I put in stereos. I gained some knowledge in electronics with a technical school in the Army, and once I got out I applied it to Stereos. I have built one run of the mill system since that time, but I am out to put one together for myself, and since my son reached driving age this week, most likely another for him.

I read all the threads recomended for "Noobs", and I must say, fantastic job of simplifying and condensing a lot of the fundamentals of car audio. I hope to learn more from the threads in order to help build the best systems at the best price possible, and hope I can contribute anywhere I can.
