Hip Hop

Hip hop is a dying art form. You can lyrics are coming back all you want. Ive been saying it for 2 years, it doesnt seem to happen. Seems like lyricists have plateaued and cant get over that hump to get mainstream success without losing there art and love for what there doing.

I really hope it happens but im losing faith.

But groups like slaughterhouse putting out an album and method man and redman Blackout II. Hell even ice cubes last album. I see them getting much playtime on the radio or there videos getting play. This is why my faith in lyricists getting there big break into the spotlight is fading.

Rap music basically sucks these days. it's All just a played out beat and stupid *** lyrics. Nobody has anything to say anymore. It is all about the grillz and dolla billz material possessions. nothing worth writing a song about. Back in the days real stories where told through rap. now it just bragging about shit they will loose to bankruptcy in 5 years like that one basketball player who is now $4million in debt and counting. I seriosly havent bought a rap album in 4 years at least. in fact the last album I bought was Bass Patrol.

I can haz copy of demo?

I love some of the newer recordings. The last Zion I and The Mighty Underdogs records, for example, were smart and cohesive. Most importantly, the songs were killer. Sure, there's a lot of kiddie crap out there, but it's always been like that. Interesting music is rarely played through commercial channels.
