i could be wrong here... but the rating of the ohms has nothing to do with the subwoofers performance in SQ or SPL... seeing as how the ohm config just tells you how to feed it power with certain amps, i would think that a dual 2ohm sub would sound no differnt then a dual 4 ohm sub if they are both in the same box being fed the same amount of power... but like i said.. i could be wrong

correct, but that wasnt what he was asking. the VC is the main determining factor for how a woofer is going to sound, and it controls the impedance/inducance of the woofer. but if a company offers the same woofer in a different coil config, the T/S should be so close that there is no distinguishable difference.
