what happened to my jeep

So right now I'm sitting on the side of I80. We were driving back from iowa city and all of the sudden I hear a BANG and a buncha smoke. I look underneath my jeep's engine and this is what I see.

The ****er was just gushing oil

You through a connecting rod it looks like. Prolly low on oil and it has been making a slight knocking or ticking noise or you were just revving the hell out of it or it was overheating.

fixed

its also possible that you could have hit a rock and ripped the pan, unless the motor shut right down it wasnt a connecting rod.
