No that is a 2 second period of extremely high drain. A Spike is a single bass hit or musical transient lasting on the order of milliseconds. It doesn't call for much in the way of capacity or long term current just a quick "spike." A yellow top would be far the better for the first and a red for the second.

ahh didnt realize spikes had a time varient lol. internal resistance of the yellow top of the same size is lower or equal too that of a comperable red hmmm (thats the kicker). people have said (not you) reds burp louder than the other 2 (yellow and blue) which isnt true. if you look closely at the warranty however you will see optima doesnt want the red used in car audio (it starts your car,you hook up an amp too it bingo you are using it for audio)as they wont warranty it. 8 years ago those red tops where 200 bucks a pop. i went through 2 in a relitively short time. the fact i had an fuse holder up under the hood for my amp voided my warranty....i dont know how strict wal mart or auto zone are about checking with the warranty but the simple fact the the manufacturer doesnt suggest using it as such is a little bit of a clue.......
