What handles spikes better?

if you have a system in your car i would lean more towards a yellow or a blue. optima doesnt suggest using red tops in car audio. the heavy hitters in db drag /usaci that used optima used yellow or blue.

Doesn't mean a whole lot for a daily driver though. A serious SPL competitor is going to need a much deeper discharge out of their batteries than the average person. Even in the classes where the car can be running, the reserve capacity of the battery bank is severely tapped. It is also more of a continuous draw rather than music type transients.

i don't think a timed SPL competition is considered a "spike" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
2 seconds burping 8000+ watts off 1 battery isnt a spike? im sure its alot larger of a spike than what 99.9% of any daily set up will ever see. read what the manufacturer suggests they dont just make stuff up for nothing...
