What gauge wire to use????

whats the best gauge wire to use for my setup going to my subs from my amp? does it make any difference what size you use? right now i have the stinger speaker wire, its pretty thin. like 16 gauge or something.

14g or higher to be sure, dont know how much rms you pushing that sub

I had 16 then 18 then I got 12 monster cable. I didnt really notice any differences in loudness or anything.

yeah im running a 16 right now but i have nothing to compare it with but i can say its pretty loud although im not running alotta power

your only runnin 500w so youll be fine with 16

I have about 500 running to each of my subs and 16awg wire and no problems. The shorter you make it, the better it will be.

I myself would use either *10 or 12~gauge* speaker cable.On my ZR~1000,I have 10~gauge Power Cable going to my Eclipse~12's....But that's me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif .
