What gauge wire for second battery?

When installing a second battery in the trunk is it really necessary to use zero gauge wire from the front battery to rear battery? Or do you think I could get away with using 2 gauge?

Because the largest gauge wiring kit/wire in general around where I live is a 2 gauge.

Flows more current. Look into Knukonceptz KLMX wire its only 1.75 a foot.

bigger the wire the less resistance

Cuz if u decided later on to add other amp or get a bigger one the wire is there. Just got to knuconceptz and get o gauge for 1.50 a foot and be done with it.
