What gauge power cable will I need?

I'm looking at getting this Pyramid PB717X 1,000-Watt 2-Channel Bridgeable Amplifier amp. I know, it's not 1000 watts, I'm just getting it to power 1 10" kicker sub.

Would 10 gauge be big enough?

I would use a braided steel cable and lower it off of a bridge into a river... but if you must use it, 4ga would be plenty.

Dude I will sell you a BNIB AudioPipe Amp for $90 shipped to you that will actually put out some real power.

What is your budget? Not trying to be mean cause I am guess that you are new to the hobby, but Pyramid is the Bottom of the Bottom, the worse of the worse. It would be very hard for you to find something of lower quality.

Why waste your money? Spend a few more $$ today and get something that will work good for years to come.

I have a bunch of power wire I could sell you. Its not the best but it will get the job done, I also have some "0" gauge wire I could send with it for a big 3. PM me your zip code and I'll let you know how much.

That thing is RATED at 150w @ 4 ohms bridged. That 1000w is hogwash as usual. This means you might get 100w out of the amp. That thing is total junk. Don't buy it.

i too have a better amp for you,but i know times are tough all over ,so if you just wanna run what you have ,i have some good stinger hpm 8 gauge wire i can sell you also and i'm in cali too,so you would get it in a day or two

if you have to since it probably doesn't do anywhere near what rated 8-4 gauge, but i would just save and buy a better used amp.

I know pyramid is crap. I know it's not gonna do 1000w. All I want is 100-150w RMS for a single kicker 10" and that should do it, so I figured it would do the job. I don't want to spend alot, and I don't want to rattle the car. Just a little extra added bass.

Why dont you buy an audiopipe amp they do rated and are cheap. Wont clip your sub to death.

8 gauge should be fine, that's just a big waste of space of an amp though. It's just the biggest piece of shit you could find. Kenwood would be better... something used on here would be way better.
