Amp= Watts/Volts

100=1200/12

You will need about 100 to 120 amp fuse. Any more and you are defeating the purpose of the fuse.

You want to fuse it based on what the electronics needs. If you blow a fet and it starts pulling 180 amps, your car could catch fire before the fuse goes.

Because some larger amps do not come with fusing built into the amp, and as a result need an external fuse on the wire.

He is running 1200W, do you really think that the amp doesn't have a fuse? I already clarified on that earlier:

so 250 or 100-120 would like more opinions but it seems as if allcrisped knows his **** so might just go 250

I alway play it safe and only fuse for the max amount of current I will be drawing.
