skip the re subs they are junk. look into the sundown sa8 or even the e8v2 thats coming soon also dc has a new level 2 8.

Shallow mount subs are your only option, assuming the 6" height is to the bottom of the seats.

Yeah, I might have a little more than 6" or be able to make it 10" deep instead of 12" and get another inch or 2 cuz the seat drops down. Would it be better to go something like 7-8" x 10" x 20"?

@D-Rew... thx, that Sundown looks nice, but $120+ is way over my budget. That's before the box and not sure if it will fit under my seat.

I'm basically looking for $50ish sub with another $50 or less to build the box. $100 to add some bass. I want it to fit under the rear seats. My old build was simple and worked nicely imo except for the big box. Now the doors will have less power and a single 8" @ 200-400 watt should be plenty.

If this gets too expensive or is too much of a pita I might fix my 12" avalanche (since I got rid of that sound splinter) and build a custom box for that to try to blend it behind the 2nd row with materials. I'm pretty sure I can do it for under $150. Then again once that starts... doors etc will have to be beefed up a bit.
