Hi friends //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

so the title says it all

from front battery to rear battery 0 gauge power cable 2 fuses

( i know what fuse i should use after the rear battery that is the amp rating fuse correct me if im wrong )

and if not runing a rear battery what fuse should i run from my front battery to the amp ?

(front battery)---fuse-------fuse----(rear battery)----amp fuse-----Amp

(front battery)----fuse----amp?

kindly let me know so i can spend some $ and wait for ebay :[

thanks

Inline fuses are to protect the wires in the event of a short so the fuse blows instead of the wire starting a fire. To safely get the most out of the wire fuse it just shy of the wire's ampacity. So if your 1/0 AWG wire is rated 350A the highest you should use is a 350A fuse.

You can go lower, of course. The fuse will just blow at a lower load. You can use any value fuse so long as it's lower that the ampere capacity of the wire. The fuses built into the amp are designed to protect it, though if you'd like it couldn't hurt using the rating on the amp for the run from the rear battery, that's fine.

but this is right.

(front battery)---fuse-------fuse----(rear battery)----amp fuse-----Amp

keep the fuse with in 18" of the batterys . i like to do about 12-15"

fuse from back battery to amp should be what amp recommends .

and try and keep this wire a short has possible .

i would fuse 0 gauge cca at 200 amps max, and 0 gauge ofc at 300 amps max. all the advice given to you is solid. here's an in depth article on fusing if you want to research it some more: FUSES

but thats to vege. he could be using the cheapest crape out there. and would burn his car down fusing it like that.

alot of that cheap stuff is like 4ga but says 0 or 1/0 .

thats way i asked what wire so i/we can give a definitive answer.

so op link to said wire, and how long is it . does not have to be exacted.

what amps are you running ?

i wouldn't go over 250 amps of fusing with that wire, that is CCA.

please learn the difference between OFC and CCA, they do NOT carry the same ampacity as pure copper

i really appreciate you guys for trying hellp me out on this ( frist build )

ill read about that OFC AND CCA

back to the topic

for the dual battery this is how it will

(front battery)---250 fuse----250 fuse----(rear battery)----inline fuse is 150 or 250 fuse here ?--Amp

single battery

(front battery)----fuse----amp?

here should i use the amp fuse which is 150 after the battery or should i use a 250 fuse for 0 gauge

what amp ????and what size wire to the amp?

how long it this wire ?

and make up your mind..

are you using 2 batterys or 1?
0 gauge all around

Amp sax-100.4

how long im not sure yet i still haven't checked im just buying stuff

i will go for two batteries but i wanted to know how to setup one battery cause the two bats are for later cause im low on $
