What fuse size???

Hi, what fuse size should I put in my distro block? The wires coming out are 8 gauge. This site http://www.the12volt.com/info/recwirsz.asp says I should use 100 amp fuses for 8 gauge.....is that to high???

BTW my amps are 600RMS and 140 RMS(but I dont think that makes a difference)

Not too high. However, you really want to stay at 75% of capacity or lower, so I'd put a 70-75amp fuse in.

Place a 75amp per 8gauge run as close as possible to dist block.

If you're powering the dist block with 4 guage (or larger), put the proper rated fuse on the 4guage as close to battery as possible.
