ok, i have ordered all of my gear separately, and now i'm getting ready to go through with the final install... this will be my first time..

first of all, what gauge speaker wire should i use for my 5" comps? i wil be using 12 gauge for my subs, but i'm not sure what is optimal for the comps. it doesn't say in the manual. they are the PG RSd5cs's. i'll be hitting them w/ 100w RMS each.

secondly, what is the best way to actually mount and wire the sub inside of the enclosure? i have two 12's (DVC) in a ported enclosure, and will be running everything in parallel and i'm not sure of the best way to go about this. just drill my pilot holes, then screw the sub in??

also, what are some accessories that i should get for making the wire to wire connections, such as when i connect the voice coils together? i just want to make sure i have all the nifty little gadgets that make the installation that much easier/better...

thanks,

Bill

16g should be fine.

you could drill holes, or you could just run the wire in the mouth of the port //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

electrical tape, some wire nuts, crimp connectors if you want them. you really shouldnt have to make any wire connections... just make all the wiring connections in the speaker terminals //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

since you asked for it, i figured id tell you twice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

use some 12-14guage for your speakers.

for the sub yes you could predrill some holes into the box to make it easier to mount the sub.

you don't really need anything special wqhen wiring the sub. maybe some wire strippers.

dont worry, at least you are planning for it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

but still be prepared to be missing a few things... unless you are installing in a shops parking lot, or in a shop, you will just about always forget something. at least i do...
