What electrical upgrades do I need?

Hey guys, I've got an 01' Ford Taurus. Ive got one run of 1/0 gauge that runs directly into my SAZ-1500d v2. I'm currently running it @4 ohms, so approx 500 watts. Problem is last night I noticed very slight dimming of my interior/headlights. Within a month I plan on getting my Zv5 and wiring to 1 ohm (approx 1500 watts.) I'm trying to figure out what I should upgrade electrical system wise, I honestly don't wanna do a HO alt unless it is necessary, but I definitely do not wanna hurt my amp; I don't plan on keeping this car for a long time. I was thinking doing the big 3 and adding a second battery might be enough. I don't feel like that would SOLVE the problem though, just a temp fix. Any help is appreciated, Thanks!

Do big 3 it makes a massive difference. Also if you aren't really interested in a h/o alt you could see if your alternator can be rewound locally. But 1500w you shouldn't see crazy drop, and if slight dimming

Really bugs you, you could take a better Approach and replace you interior lights with led's

Also if your not actually worried about the dimming and more your voltage, make sure to have a voltmeter installed at the amplifier. Some cars lights will dim with any load on them.

I'm doing the big 3 first. The dimming doesn't bother me that much tbh. I plan to buy my Zv5 from Down4SoundShop, I get a free voltmeter. I dunno how good that voltmeter is tbh.

You can always compare the voltmeter with a dmm to see if it's and most decent voltmeter you can adjust to compensate. But do big three and if you have problems then look into either h/o alt or a reserve battery.
