You lost me, Rick. What does you having an in with some cheap illegal dealer have to do with having a medical card?
If your pricing/quality is true, you are an exception to the rule, not the norm.
Its all legit if you have your card and grow for personal consumption it is perfectly legal to give another medical patient any extra bud you may have and be reimbursed for your time/trouble growing the bud in the first place. Its similar to how the dispensaries get their product if they dont grow it themselves. Medical card holders who grow themselves bring any extra they want to sell to the dispensary and they negotiate a price I just cut out the middle man and buy from the guy selling to the dispensary. This isnt just my personal guy I get bud from different people all the time through craigslist and other means and its all teh same situation I have a card and they have a card but even if you dont have a card you can usually find one of the medical growers who will deliver and give you the same price about $200 an oz last time I got some I asked the guy if he wanted to verify my medical card first and he said he just puts that on craisglist so they dont remove his listing.

Names dont mean a thing the name of the grower means more than name of the strain. Theres nothing regulating strains I can put oregano in a bag and call it trainwreck a lot of good strains actually change their names as time goes on for example white widow (the original strain) is now Black widow and white widow you see is an imitation of the original. $80 a gram for afghan thats insane the original strain may have been imported but its not as if its imported every harvest and while afghan kush is great stuff its not worth $80 a gram. The clubs do have lesser products for cheaper but so do the delivery services ive gotten an oz of who knows what for like $70 before wasnt great stuff but it did the job.

Read what I said again, Rick. Even with a card, its an illegal transaction to purchase from an unauthorized source like a street dealer. It is not all legit. That's a common mistake many card holders make.

Are you aware of the number of illegally owned guns in this country? Just making something legal doesn't mean people will automatically do something legally. It's possible to come into this country legally but look at the number of illegals in this country. Your theory doesn't work //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
You dont have to register a dime bag like you do a firearm. That alone makes your parallel null and void.

He was arguing that if people could legally get weed they wouldn't get it illegally. People can legally get firearms but a lot don't. It actually is a valid point.

there is a reason most people don't get their firearms registered. after time all the illegal dealers will be put out of business, besides why wouldn't the dealers just do it legally? besides im pretty sure they would sell harder stuff to actually make some money.... if pot is made legal and regulated by the Government the dealers would face harsher penalties not just possesion but tax evasion etc etc

why would you even argue "if people could get it legally, why would they get it illegally?" BECAUSE ITS ******* LEGAL!!! lol. you guys making these stupid points, do you even smoke weed? because every smoker knows weed from dispensaries>>>street bought weed.

You didn't answer the question at all. You argue if people can get weed legally they will. Well people can get guns legally but they can't. People can come to this country legally but they don't. What would be the difference with weed?

If I have a card and you have a card and I give you some weed and you intern make a donation for the amount that I gave you to cover my time and utilities to grow the weed under proposition 215 this is not an illegal act some people may have you sign a document stating that you are joining that persons co-op which is just a group of people who come together for a common goal in this case cultivating and distributing medical marijuana for patients you can join as many co ops as you want and the co op is allowed to keep marijuana on hand just for you should you ever need it from them again.

why would people buy weed illegally, if they can buy it legally? dont just say because they can, thats not answering the question. its gonna be like buying liqour dumb ***. im sure people bought all that distilled **** after the prohibition ended........even though they could go to the store and buy it for a fraction of the price.

maybe the people that dont buy firearms legally is because they cant? because they're gang bangers or convicted felons. maybe the immigrants dont wanna wait? maybe its because border security ******* *****. idk.

people that actually smoke on here would you buy it illegally, if you could just walk into a store and buy it legally? would you go with crap ****, filled with chemicals, possibly laced with pcp, or buy some good **** that doesn't just make you lazy and hungry.

No, its not a valid point. If weed is legalized, there is no such thing as getting it illegally (unless you want to talk about stealing it, which is another crime/topic altogether). That seems like a pretty obvious point to be continually escaping you.

Because a firearm is a registered and controlled item. Buying one illegally can be done so for many reasons, including no traceability if the purchaser knows he's gonna use it to murder someone, felons who are not allowed to own one legally, and people who wish to own more firearms than their local laws allow. A bag of [legal] pot does not fit ANY of those situations, at all. As for paralleling it to illegal immigrants, seriously, wtf man? Do I really need to go through all the reasons people chose to enter this country illegally, that also would not have anything to do with legalized weed? I really feel you need to think a little more about the topic, and the parallels you are trying to draw to it.

How about this one, people can kill legally (war time), so why does anyone kill illegally? Yet another reason people would still chose to buy illegal pot! (whatever illegal pot would be, considering we are talking about if it was LEGAL)

I know all about co-op's. You still need to reread what I said. I said an illegal transaction from a street dealer. WTF does that have to do with someone participating in a legal co-op? I think a few of you nay sayers are on the stuff right now.

I think before that aspect of this discussion goes any further, someone needs to tell me what 'illegal' pot would be in a world where pot was legalized. No cohesion to this argument what so ever.
