Should marijuana be legal?

I don't understand why the cartels would still grow it? You would have to be licenced to grow it, and your argument is completely retarded since they're already growing most of it lol... Even if they were to still grow it at least they would be taxed, which they aren't now, cutting into their profits. Second, I think it would give a chance to some Americans who lost jobs to grow it, and put money back into your economy...

Do the cartels grow the medical marijuana sold in dispensaries right now? lol

who is gonna make them get a license? who is gonna make them pay taxes on it? they cant do shit to the cartels, bro.

If you make it legal, who is going to buy from street dealers? Dumbest thing I have ever heard. People that have a medical marijuana card don't still buy off the ******* street. You get better quality **** from dispensaries, and you can get low quality street **** for cheaper ($5/gram) at dispensaries. Nobody is going to run the risk of buying off the street when its legal lol...

Wow, you really are stupid bro. Who else is going to grow it if not the cartels? They've already got a strong hold on it. You don't really want our farmers to replace their corn crops for rows of weed plants do you? I bet you'd be one pissed off stoner if you had nothing to eat. Taxing a cartel is like taxing a corporation. That doesn't cut into their profits. They push that cost down the line to the consumer you retard. Economics 101, go take a class.
LMFAO! Because every unemployed American is actively seeking out farming jobs at the moment? You're a clueless twit. You think think a crop of weed would be any more attractive to farm than a lettuce?

That is why I said 99%. But the current infastructure for medicinal use cannot support the national need if it were to be legalized.
I love how everybody else is wrong, but you're completely right, lol. I'm sure some farmers would jump at the oppurtunity since they can't compete with corporations who grow most of the crops and can offer lower prices. At least it is some source of new income... Just because you aren't desperate for a job, that doesn't mean other people aren't. I'm sure if we legalized pot and turned some of the shut down factories in Detroit into grow ops most of the laid off people would love to harvest pot....

Show me some proof for all your claims lol... Even we couldn't grow it all, AT LEAST SOME OF IT COULD BE!! *******.

Even with a medical card, its still illegal to purchase from non-legal dispensaries (ie: a street dealer).

In my experience as a Cali resident who had a card for a few years, street prices and dispensary prices were very similar.

Not any more dispensary prices are a lot more you can go on craigslist and find a guy to deliver an oz to your door for $200 or less dispensaries usually charge $50 an 1/8th no discount the more you buy. Marijuana should be legal plain and simple there isnt 1 single reason it should not be however prop 19 is not the way to make it legal all prop 19 does is allow the state to cash in. Whoever said people who are laid off are going to grow pot to supplement their income if prop 19 passes must not know a single thing about the proposition. Your allowed a 5'x5' growing area per residence under prop 19 no one is getting rich off that small an area if you want a larger growing area get ready to be ***** by the city for the licence to do so prop 19 effectively eliminates the competition each city gets to set a limit on the number of commercial licences and they get to auction the licences off to the highest bidder all the while prop 19 is set up to do away with prop 215 later (the medical marijuana proposition) Why else would there be a section of prop 19 titled something like (laws and propositions prop 19 is not intended to change) yet prop 215 isnt mentioned in that section.

Comparing apples and oranges does not prove anything. Obviously you can find some street pot that is cheaper than some dispensary pot. Not all pot is the same quality, so comparing them in a vacuum tells us nothing. The reality is, street dealers know they are competing against dispensaries (and vice versa). Its a funny sort of quasi-legal price fixing situation. Neither side will drastically alter their pricing, one way or the other, unless something like complete legalization occurs.

Let me rephrase that then I can pay a guy $200 to deliver top quality bud to my door or pay $400 an oz at a dispensary im in the bay area I dont have to mess around with poor quality weed top notch stuff is easy especially if you have your medical card.

You lost me, Rick. What does you having an in with some cheap illegal dealer have to do with having a medical card?

If your pricing/quality is true, you are an exception to the rule, not the norm.

The dispensary here charges $10/gram for **** like train wreck, and up to $80 for imported afghani ****. They even have stuff thats street level for $6/gram. $400/oz is just too much. Don't you have in between prices for lesser quality ****?

The federal government sells medical marijuana here... It's not that great, they charge $150/oz to have it shipped to your house by mail.

Are you aware of the number of illegally owned guns in this country? Just making something legal doesn't mean people will automatically do something legally. It's possible to come into this country legally but look at the number of illegals in this country. Your theory doesn't work //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
