what do you use to strip 0+4 guage wire

To strip my 4 gauge I used a utility knife. Free because I borrowed it from my dad's tool drawer!

Cigar cutter sounds like a very interesting idea. So long as it doesn't cut too many of the strands...

no way you can use your teeth on it. im gonna start using a utility knife. i was using one side of scissors today to slice throught the insulation. it slipped, and i sliced my index finger down to the knuckle and ended up with 6 stitches.

use a razor knife, and cut a line across the whole diameter of the wire. Then cut from your previous cut to the end of the wire, and then just peel off the insulation. It works perfect, and looks clean every time.

ftw???

the answers were way more ghetto than i thought they would be, but since i have all the tools needed (hammer), THATS AWESOME.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/youreawesome.gif.a27e190c662afa8e2be5686b27bd1659.gif

i usually use a razor blade, a blade knife or and x-acto, they all work perfectly however i did just buy a pair of those fiskars carbon utility scissors from lowes for around the garage and i happened to try them on a project and they worked like a charm on some knu wire...
