What do you think of this budget setup? Alpine/Hertz/Hifonics/JL

everything in my sig cost me less than $900 lol. anyways, im not familiar with hertz either, check out the Pioneer Premier TS-D720C im willing to bet they sound better and 60 dollars cheaper @ onlinecarstereo.com also, try looking into the pioneer shallow mount subs, they are single voice coils so maybe 2 8's could be worked into the mix. Recommended Enclosure: 0.15-0.5Cubic Feet

89 dollars a piece at the same website.. just another option...

That is a decent setup. I would spend a little more to get one grade up of each. Those ESK

comps aren't that good, the HSK are better, but I feel that Alpine Type-X Refs would be better for not much more. What brands does the shop carry (or what shop is it too)? See if you can step up to at least a W3 too. Or the Hertz Hi-Energy sub line.

the 880 is a better HU and can be found cheaper, that price range for comps the pioneers are better and that series JL is worse than 2 8 inch shallow mount premiers the end.

all of you retards saying better can be had for cheaper dont seem to realize that this guy unlike the rest of you actually wants to have his manufacturers warranty hence the reason for purchasing from a retailer. Onlinecarstereo is not an authorized retailer for anything and how in the hell can you not be familiar with hertz and just assume that your speakers will sound better and expect to have your opinion taken seriously.

reviews and popular opinion, i've never tasted dog shyt but, im pretty sure it tastes bad. onlinecarstereo give a 1 year warranty, so do alot of power sellers on ebay.

Deck is good if you like iPod.

Comps, heard the HSK's and are okay, but never heard the cheaper line.

Amp-I personally would get one dedicated amp for the sub and your highs, but that is just my prefrence. I would step it up to the BXi Hifonics line as well.

Sub, could do better, but they are giving it to you for a good price.

Box, could do a lot better........if you didn't want a fiberglass box, which is where the price is coming for that box.

Overall, you could do better, but it isn't horrible.

I think this is pretty nice overall. The prices aren't horribly overpriced. Getting everything online might work, but if you want someone else installing it, they'll tack on a bit more for ya.

I've heard good things about Hertz, never heard them in person, but I haven't heard much bad about them. The amp will be fine, but like it was said, stepping it up a notch to a higher line would be good.

Since you need the space, not much to do about the expensive box. Fiberglass boxes are pretty expensive. But it'll work for you, and save you the space you need.

Overall, no complaints. You could get better, but you'd end up doing a lot more yourself.

thats actually a great deal considering internet prices
$100 sub (Clean sound)

$300 hu (Nice HU)

$200 Speakers ( never heard personally but ppl often praise Hertz sound)

$200 amp (budget but still solid amp)

this leaves for a fiberglass box, wires, and install costing only $300 i think u made out pretty well...also the op pointed out he didnt want overwhelming bass...

this guy is right.

everything looks pretty good except for the Hifonics amp and JL sub. Hifonics amp is not bad tbh, but like stated by many here, the w1 will **** balls.
