what do you think about these amp guts?

thinking of buying a cheap amp here in norway

it is rated

Watt RMS @ 1 Ohm 14,4 V 900

Watt RMS @ 2 Ohm 14,4 V 600

Watt RMS @ 4 Ohm 14,4 V 350

does it look like it will do rated?

it is either going to be this one or its bigger brother

Watt RMS @ 1 Ohm 14,4 V 1200

Watt RMS @ 2 Ohm 14,4 V 800

Watt RMS @ 4 Ohm 14,4 V 450

both are damned cheap. i can get 2 of the 900w ones for the price of my one cerwin vega 500w amp

I bet they do rated power, People need to stop looking at fuse raitings vs power output. Prime example look at the memphis ST1000.1d it is a 1100 rms @1ohm all day long It is fused at 40a x2 just like this 900 watt amp in the first post.

These look better built then those audiopipe and other budget amps you all swear by, what makes these inferior to those?

That doesn't make sense though..

12x80 = 960

If the amp is pulling more than 960 watts.. the fuses will blow, or go into protect

you dont understand how an amp works do you?

BTW who makes these amps

Tell me whats wrong then. If you attempt to have 10,000 watts of current through an amp thats fused at 80 amps, it's gonna blow..whether you do it on purpous or mistake (short)

One thing I did just notice is he said @14.4v so its actually 1152watts, not 980

You dont know much about amps do ya?

i thought it goes like this 14.4 volts x 90 amps = 1296

1296 x .7 (70% efficient amp) = 907.2 watts

but i may be wrong. i don't claim to be an electronics engineer like most google kids. I would assume that the design of the power rail n stuff would effect that. Like Rockfords power boost rail line, i would assume has a different output than the fuse suggests.

I just go by CEA ratings and keep it simple.

I was just stating my opinion it does 1200 at 14.4 so shave off at least 100 because you will not be at that voltage in most cases. I go by fuse on cheaper amps because I don't trust them to rate well at all. I know fuse ratings don't mean very much but they have a decent amount of meaning. The mmats 3000.1 puts out 3k and only has a 100amp fuse.

That board looks pretty beefy to me.Id try it out, and see how reliable it is, and how the TDH sounds,.Looks pretty decent to me.Id try it out, if I had the funds ,and thought it would serve well.
