What Do You Guys Think Of Power Acoustiks Subs?

is $150 for one or 2? I got my gf 3 Power Acoustik fubr 10s for about $150 and theyre pretty loud.. I was impressed.. Never heard the Mofos... but $150 for 2 then give it a shot.. if its for 1 then leave it be.. theres better for $150

Those subs do get loud, but they are not very good as far as quality goes. I owned a pair of the fubar's back in 2004. I had them in a ported box around 4 CUF ^ @ 33 hz. I was pwering them with a PA 3000db. The amp was overrated and so was the subs in my opinion. Are they worth $150...........Not at all, unless you are just looking for straight bass with no quality.

Hey Aloha man, x2 on what Qbenjamin said. They can get really loud but the build quality and sound quality lacks IMO.

What amp do you have? Why not just go with a single good driver for $150-$200?

If you are looking for a good Sub for that amp, if your budget permits, I have a 12" FI Q Dual 1 ohm that I am selling. You can wire it to 2 ohms and push all 1K watts from your amp to it. Put it in a box that's about 2.2CUF^ @ 32HZ, and it will blast!! My sub has just been freshly re-coned by FI, so it's pretty much new aside from the dustcap. The FI Q's are some of the best SQ woofers on the market.

My boy is running a 12 inch mofo right now in a 2.4 cube ported box tuned @ 38hz. He's feeding it 2200 watts RMS daily, without problems. We've had it burp with 2900WATTS still without problems. It's a well built sub definitley, however PERSONALLY it has a hard time squeezing out some SQ. Requires ALOT OF ****ING TUNING and the results are still nothing to brag about. As far as SPL goes, well **** yeah the thing is loud as a ***** and does it well.

The sub is built to pretty high specifications and i know that sounds crazy, but just don't pay anything over $100 IF THAT for the thing. He got his BNIB $100 shipped off of some site.

Anyway on the mic without being broken in, and only given 2kw we got it to hit 138db. after my boy does the big 3 and the sub is finally fully broken in, i'm expecting low 140's out of it. It really aint that bad of a sub, just depends on what kind of amplifier you're using. It needs a good amplifier to sound decent, takes a long time to break in because of its aluminum cone heatsink, and has no SQ if you don't use a good amp. We had it running on a Zapco C2K 6.0X and it ****in sounded glorius lol.

However, they're are plenty of other subs out there. I would only take one of these if it was given to me.
