What do you guys think about feeding a dc lvl4 xl 2200 rms w/ aq2200?

ok guys, i'm about to buy an AQ2200 2200rms@1ohm... going to be pushing a brand newly coned DC LVL 4 XL 12".. rated 1500rms but i've read all over the place of people feeding the 2500rms all day long as long as no clipped signals.. correct? ported enclosure built to spec 32hz tuning... anyone have experience feeding this much power and does anyone have opinion or advice about it?>

other than the preamp voltage adjustment with clip indication led on my audio control lc8i, what are the best way to avoid dirty power/signal/etc......???? and shared knowledge would be appreciated...

idkk i saw a guy blow his dc lv4 18 on an aq2200 wired to 1 ohm but he was abusing it and played slowed songs constantly

Make sure you have stable voltage (big three, an extra battery or two, and the best grounds you can get).

Clean power is the key too sucess. Also, I assume your sub is dual2? After rise your amp want see a 1ohm load so tech 2200watts of clean power is not gonna happen with your setup.

ok my setup is -

*optima red top cranking battery

*kinteik 800 - ( a little small for this application)

*1/0 single run all the way from cranking batt to amps

i have not completed big three but did run 1/0 to ground out cranking battery

*audiocontrol lc8i

*AQ2200

*DC LVL 4 XL

*2.6 cubes ported enclosure 32hz

*JL A4300 80 X 4 @ 4ohms

*hifonics zeus components

all in a 2007 volvo s40

what do you mean i'm not going to get clean power with my setup?

What I am saying is after rise your amp will not see a 1ohm load. So your sub will never see that 2200watts unless you plan on sending a clipped signal. There is nothing wrong with ur setup I am just saying 2200 watts is not gonna happen that is all. Nonetheless it will get loud 2200 - 1800 you want be able to tell the difference anyways.

so with rise the sub will see LESS than 2200rms? good! i was a lil weary about feeding this much power to the sub in the first place. i fell more comfortable feeding the lesser amount to the speaker. am i understanding you correctly?

BTW this is for a daily driver application if that makes a difference to any of you. and teh DC LVL4 XL is a dual 2

Its always good to buy more power than You need due to rise. You did the right thing and should work out great

BTW my volvo has a 215 AMP OEM alternator as well
